History

The Perry Law Firm, APLC (“Firm”) was founded by Senior Partner Michael R. Perry in 2006. Mr. Perry established the Firm in its current formation after many years of experience litigating complex cases involving community associations and corporate affairs.

The Firm specializes in all aspects of common interest development (“CID”) law, and general business law, including corporate counsel, litigation, FHA condominium certification, employment, assessment collection, and post judgment collection. The Firm’s attorneys also have collective expertise in human resources, reasonable accommodations in housing, construction defect litigation, facilitating post-litigation repair projects, and navigating complex insurance-related issues.

The Firm serves over 250 CID clients and has grown to include 5 full-time attorneys and nearly a dozen staff members. Our attorneys hail from top U.S. & international law schools and range in experience from 1 – 30 years in legal practice. The Firm represents dozens of community associations affiliated with the largest CID management companies in the world and the U.S., as well as the fastest-growing management company in Orange County, California. The Firm is considered one of the premier CID law firms these and other management companies when searching for legal representation for their CID clients.

The Firm regularly presents educational trainings on CID legal issues, including, but not limited to, contract drafting and enforcement, working with vendors, insurance, secondhand smoke in CIDs, Board governance, and similar topics. The Firm has also presented at various events for the Community Associations Institute, the California Association of Community Managers, and numerous management companies.
