Biography

Michael R. Perry is a shareholder with The Perry Law Firm. Mr. Perry formed the firm after many years of experience in the successful management and resolution of complex cases involving community associations as well as corporate affairs. Mr. Perry has developed an expertise in litigating construction defect cases and in providing post-litigation assistance to Orange County community associations in their repair projects. Mr. Perry has also developed an expertise in all aspects of representing community associations and he has experience with diverse business clients and major insurance carriers. He has successfully been involved in litigating several medical-related and insurance bad faith cases, including multiple cases in the coordinated breast implant litigation.

Mr. Perry earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University at Long Beach in 1987, during which time he operated an international tour corporation he founded in 1984. While working toward his Juris Doctorate degree at Southwestern University School of Law in 1997, Mr. Perry gained valuable experience in all aspects of litigation at two major law firms. Mr. Perry also served as a research assistant and participated in the writing of several published papers. In addition, He was the associate editor of the Southwestern Commentator and was awarded the Silver Key from the American Bar Association.

Currently a member of the Orange County and California Bar Associations, Mr. Perry also participates in a variety of community and charitable activities. He devotes a considerable amount of his time to the Orange County Chapter of Community Association Institute (CAI) and to the California Association of Community Managers (CACM).
